1 1/3 pounds Pork Shoulder Cut into 1/4-inch slices
10 cloves Garlic Halved then crushed
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
2 teaspoons Ground Annatto
1/4 cup Anisette Liqueur
1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
1 Orange Juice only

Make the cure

In a small bowl, mix together garlic, brown sugar, ground annatto, anisette liqueur, garlic powder and orange juice.

Marinade the pork

Place pork slices in a ziplock bag and add cure. Toss to evenly coat pork. Let cure in refrigerator for 3 days.

Grill pork

After the pork has marinaded for 3 days, heat up a grill pan or any pan over medium heat. When pan is hot after 1 minute, add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil then the garlic from the ziploc bag with marinade. Toss garlic for 30 seconds until browned, then place pork slices in one layer on pan. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from heat and serve with garlic fried rice and sunny-side up eggs. Enjoy!
