Soft boiled eggs with a small amount of soy sauce is a genius way to enjoy savory eggs. Dip sweet and buttery kaya toast into the soy sauce eggs for a complete breakfast or snack.

Steps

1
Done

Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan then turn off heat. Place eggs in the boiled water slowly with a slotted spoon. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes.

2
Done

Remove one egg from the saucepan and crack it into a small bowl. If there are no more transparent whites (whites are cooked), remove other eggs from saucepan and crack into same bowl. If necessary, allow the rest of the eggs to cook for an additional 1-2 minutes before cracking.

3
Done

Add soy sauce and white pepper powder to eggs and beat to combine.

4
Done

Spread the kaya jam on toasted bread and dip bread into the eggs for a savory breakfast treat or snack. Enjoy!
