Cuisine:

Tastes very similar to galbi and is marinaded with a simple 5-ingredient sauce. Dinner two nights in a row for us this week because it was easy and quick to make. Delicious!

Steps

1
Done

In a medium bowl (big enough to hold the beef), combine ingredients for sauce - dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, gochujang, doenjang, and sesame oil. Mix well.

2
Done

Place beef in the bowl and mix well with sauce to combine. Marinade for 20 minutes.

3
Done

Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add vegetable oil after a minute when skillet is hot then add marinaded beef and mushrooms (optional). Spread beef evenly throughout the skillet and stir frequently to ensure all sides are cooked evenly. When browned (not red anymore) and fully cooked, turn off heat. It should take about 5 minutes to cook the beef - if you're cooking the mushrooms as well, just make sure they're soft and fully cooked as well (shouldn't take much longer than the beef).

Transfer to plate and serve with white rice. Enjoy!
